Yersinia enterocolitica

Yersinia enterocolitica is a gram-negative, facultative anaerobe that can survive freezing temperatures, thrives in refrigerated temperatures and is motile at temperatures of 22°C to 30 °C. Human infections are aquired primarily via contaminated food and is found in a wide variety of animals, though swine is the most common source.
