Vibrio

Vibrio bacteria are gram-negative, facultative anaerobes and highly motile. They are an aquatic microorganism who thrive in the warm climates along marine coastal waters and the occasional freshwater lake or stream. They are pathogenic for humans and animals whereas most infections are caused by eating raw or undercooked seafood, particularly oysters. Some types of Vibro species can cause serious skin infections if in contact with an open wound.
