Tryptic Soy Agar (TSA) II
Tryptic Soy Agar, Modified (TSA II) is specifically formulated for the addition of animal blood. It is used for the recovery and cultivation of fastidious microorganisms and for determining hemolytic reactions of bacteria. Different animal blood additions provide different hemolytic reactions, depending on the bacterium species.
