Triple Sugar Iron (TSI) Agar
Also known as TSI, Triple Sugar Iron Agar is used for the differentiation of gram-negative enteric bacilli via carbohydrate fermentation and the production of hydrogen sulfide. With the addition of sucrose, this medium can detect sucrose-fermenting bacilli as well as lactose and/or dextrose fermenters.
